Holy Hour of Reparation
Friday August 1, 2025
The First Friday of each month immediately following the
12:10 Mass in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel
Jesus implores us to stay, watch, and pray with Him, just as He did to His apostles: "My soul is sorrowful even unto death. Stay you here and watch with Me (Matthew 26:38)." Jesus told St. Margaret Mary to "make reparation for the ingratitude of men. Spend an hour in prayer to appease divine justice, to implore mercy for sinners, to honor Me, to console Me for My bitter suffering when abandoned by My apostles, when they did not watch one hour with me."
During this holy hour of reparation before the Blessed Sacrament, we will pray a Spiritual Communion, Acts of Reparation and Consecration to the Sacred Heart, and preparation for a Happy Death. Holy Hour of Reparation is a devotion much needed by our world today, amid its tragedies and sin.

The wonderful beginning of
The Gospel of Luke 1:1-4 NABRE
“Since many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the events that have been fulfilled among us, just as those who were eyewitnesses from the beginning and ministers of the word have handed them down to us, I too have decided, after investigating everything accurately anew, to write it down in an orderly sequence for you, most excellent Theophilus,
so that you may realize the certainty of the teachings you have received.”
(From USCCB Introduction to the Gospel of Luke: https://bible.usccb.org/bible/luke/0)
“No gospel writer is more concerned than Luke with the mercy and compassion of Jesus; with the role of the Spirit in the life of Jesus and the Christian disciple; with the importance of prayer or with Jesus’ concern for women….” “To all who respond in faith and repentance to the word Jesus preaches, he brings salvation and peace and life.”

Keep The Flame Alive!
WEDNESDAY EVENINGS ON ZOOM!
7:00-8:30 PM

With Fr. Michael O’Reilly
Current topic: The Gospel of Luke
Keep the Flame Alive began at Pentecost, 2022, as a way to help us keep the fervor of Lent and the flame of the Easter Candle burning in our hearts all year long! Each week we meet on Zoom with Father O’Reilly and slowly read a chapter of the Gospel of Luke. It is a great way to spend more time with Scripture and to be more attentive to the Word, as we work our way through the beautiful Gospel of Luke.
“It is through the Gospels that we encounter
the decisive teachings and events of Jesus' life.”
You can join any-time, as we do a new chapter each week - just send an email to Donna at Flamealive22@gmail.com for further information and Zoom links.
It is a good habit to be in!
DEI VERBUM (Vatican II document)
DOGMATIC CONSTITUTION
ON DIVINE REVELATION
“18. It is common knowledge that among all the Scriptures…the Gospels have a special preeminence, and rightly so, for they are the principal witness for the life and teaching of the incarnate Word, our savior.
The Church has always and everywhere held and continues to hold that the four Gospels are of apostolic origin. For what the Apostles preached in fulfillment of the commission of Christ, afterwards they themselves and apostolic men, under the inspiration of the divine Spirit, handed on to us in writing: the foundation of faith, namely, the fourfold Gospel, according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.(1)”
St. Jerome wrote: "Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of God."
So why not start reading the Gospel of Luke with us today?
